Janie Moodie has recently joined our team. She brings over 12 years of experience in the office furniture industry a long with a strong grasp on chair ergonomics. This lady is outgoing, very knowledgeable and we are thrilled to have her in our corner. She answered a few questions to give us more insight into her likes, dislikes, and passions.
How did you start your career in the Office furniture industry?
I can recall this with real joy – From my humble beginning as a small-town girl, our family moved to the city where I applied for a position at Waltons and was successfully appointed as a retail sales consultant in Woodmead where I fell in love with the furniture industry and its people.
What is the most important aspect(s) of furnishing a new office space, in your opinion?
It is easy to fall into the trap to think a chair is just a chair or a desk is just a desk. It is a piece of furniture your employees will be spending the majority of their time. No matter how pretty a desk looks or how much it complements the ambiance of the office, if it does not add to the comfort and productivity of the employees, it is of no use. Always place functionality and ergonomics before aesthetics.
